Based in Cambridge, UK, with offices in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Norway and Scotland, 1Spatial employs around 91 full-time staff and has 41 years of experience in dealing with geospatial data. We enable customers to maximise their investment in geospatial data. Our expertise and products allow organisations from a number of industry sectors to integrate and share data through an open, standards-based and GIS neutral approach for complete interoperability.

1Spatial is a private company. It was established in 1969 as a spin out from a Cambridge University research group. 1Spatial has evolved from this beginning into an industry-leading provider of geospatial supply chain solutions. These solutions are based on standards (such as W3C; ISO ITC/211 and OGC) and through the use of master data based on geometry deliver higher returns on investment for spatial data users. We make further use of the geometry to guarantee the quality of the data and to provide the basis for automating maintenance as real world changes are reflected in the data themselves.
Geospatial data are increasingly found at the heart of business processes across a wide range of organisations, enabling delivery of government policy and citizen-centric services. It is most useful when it is accessible, easily shared and trusted. 1Spatial works with organisations throughout the world to unlock the real value of their investments in geospatial data. Every day we demonstrate and deliver the maximum return on investment for our customers. We help them to improve their productivity, profitability and time to market through reuse of their existing data. We empower organisations by integrating geospatial data into business processes and guaranteeing data quality.
1Spatial delivers award winning, enterprise information architectures underpinned by geospatial data. Recent award winners include the No.1 AIDU (Royal Air Force documents unit) and the Property Registration Authority, Ireland.
As an active participant in the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), 1Spatial was the prime mover behind setting up the Spatial Data Quality Working Group and has participated in the GML standard definition and OWS projects. 1Spatial is also active in the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) working in particular with Autodesk's FDO spatial data translation tools and is committed to the further development and use of open source.
1Spatial is committed to quality in all aspects of our business. 1Spatial holds ISO 9001:2008 certification. The company has been ISO9001/TickIT assured continuously since February 1994.
